Uniform Information

School uniform fosters a sense of belonging to our school community.

Most uniform items can be purchased from local supermarkets.

Items with our school logo can only be purchased from our uniform supplier, “Barnums” in William Street, Herne Bay (see leaflet for more information). We do sometimes hold a small supply of second-hand items in the school office so do please ask.

Please ensure that all clothing and personal property is clearly named.

Our School Uniform includes:

  • a  white shirt or polo shirt (school logo is optional),
  • a grey skirt, pinafore or tailored shorts or trousers,
  • a school sweatshirt/ cardigan with logo (available from Barnums),
  • suitable flat shoes in black – no open-toed sandals,
  • in summer, a red and white checked dress/culottes may be worn.

Our PE Kit includes:

  • a plain PE top in house team colour (available from Barnums),
  • plain dark-coloured shorts,
  • plain dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and tops,
  • a pair of trainers (which you don’t mind getting dirty),
  • a sun hat in the summer,
  • for KS2, a swimsuit/trunks and a towel for swimming lessons.

Our Forest School Kit includes:

  • old clothing that can get dirty,
  • waterproof jacket and trousers (that can be left at school),
  • Wellington boots/old trainers for forest use only (to be left in school).

We ask that children come to school dressed in their PE kit on their PE days – please look out for your child’s class letter for confirmation of PE days. These will be sent by email and can also be found on the class pages of our school website.

Jewellery may not be worn apart from a small pair of stud earrings which may be worn, but children must be able to remove these themselves for PE.

Hair that is below shoulder-length should be tied back.

A named apron or large shirt is needed to protect children’s clothing during Art/Craft and other practical activities.

Make-up and nail varnish should not be worn at school.
